Pega Senior System Architect (CSSA)

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Pega Senior System Architect (CSSA) with strong hands-on experience in designing, developing, and delivering scalable Pega applications. The candidate will provide technical leadership across projects, drive architecture and design standards, and collaborate closely with business stakeholders, LBA teams, and client SMEs.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead DCO and requirement sessions, translating business requirements into scalable Pega solutions.
• Provide technical guidance to LBAs, developers, and client stakeholders on Pega architecture and best practices.
• Design and implement high-performing, scalable Pega applications using industry best practices.
• Define and enforce Pega development standards, design guidelines, and governance in collaboration with CLSAs/PSAs.
• Work in Agile/Scrum environments, supporting sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives, and technical estimation.
• Review application designs, code, and rulesets to ensure quality, maintainability, security, and performance.
• Troubleshoot complex application issues using Pega Tracer, Clipboard, Performance Analyzer (PAL), PDC, and other debugging tools.
• Work on integrations using REST/SOAP APIs, authentication mechanisms, and enterprise integration standards.
• Contribute to Pega Decisioning, Case Management, UI, workflow, and integration solutions where required.
• Identify performance bottlenecks and implement application optimization and performance improvements.
• Support technical design governance, reusable frameworks, reference architectures, and solution standards.
• Mentor Pega developers and provide technical leadership throughout the development lifecycle.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Pega Certified Senior System Architect (CSSA) certification.
• 5+ years of hands-on Pega development and architecture experience.
• Strong experience with Pega Platform 8.x/Infinity and current Pega development practices.
• Strong knowledge of Case Management, Workflows, UI, Data Pages, Data Types, Flows, Flow Actions, Harnesses, and Rule Types.
• Strong understanding of Pega integrations, REST/SOAP APIs, authentication, and enterprise security standards.
• Hands-on experience with Tracer, Clipboard, PAL, PDC, and other Pega troubleshooting/performance tools.
• Experience designing scalable, reusable, and high-performing Pega applications.
• Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum delivery methodologies and stakeholder management.

Good to Have

• Exposure to Pega Decisioning / Customer Decision Hub (CDH).
• Experience with Pega Cloud and cloud-based architectures.
• Knowledge of Pega API and integration standards.
• Experience with performance monitoring, optimization, and application health.
• Experience in reference architecture, framework development, and design governance.
• Exposure to DevOps, CI/CD, deployment pipelines, and Pega deployment practices.
• Experience mentoring technical teams and working across multiple Pega projects.
